The United Communists of Europe is a network of communists across Europe who are trying to build a new communist party. Our primary task is to unite the working class and transform it into a force that can overthrow capitalism. We are revolutionaries who struggle for a socialist revolution that can bring about a socialist state, in which the working class holds state power and drastically transforms society. We take inspiration from the former socialist countries, such as the Soviet Union and the Peoples Republic of China. We look to present-day socialist Cuba as an example of what working people can achieve when they take state-power and embark on the socialist road. The Cuban Revolution, which has been under attack for over seventy years by the imperialists, continues its long march to free not just Cuba but the oppressed peoples of the global South.
